Mission Statemet
The Agriscience program at Doral Middle School strives to increase awareness of global and technological importance of agriculture and its contribution to our well-being. Through our program we strive to develop agricultural leadership and personal growth. We encourage hands-on training in order to put students a step ahead toward career success.
Agriscience Course
Program Title:
Orientation to Agriscience, Technology, and Environmental Sciences (H42)
Occupational Area:
Agriscience and Natural Resources.
Major Concepts/ Content:
The purpose of this course is to acquaint students with career opportunities, job requirements, and tasks performed in board range of agribusiness and natural resources occupations.
The content includes, but is not limited to, Agriscience and technology careers, kinds of jobs, career paths, financial reward, educational requirements, equipment and terminology, the free enterprise system, and consumer and economic education.

Exploration of Agriscience, Technology and Environmental Sciences (H43)
Occupational Area:
Agriscience and Natural Resources.
Major Concepts/ Content:
The purpose of this course is to give students initial exposure to the skills and attitudes associated with a broad range of career opportunities relating to agribusiness and natural resources, including job requirements and tasks performed, to assist students in making informed decisions regarding their future academic and occupational goals.
The content includes, but is not limited to, instruction that explores the tasks, training, education and physical requirements of a broad range of agribusiness and natural resources careers.
